We braved the traffic, a grumpy Michael, and the Cherry Blossom 10K to go downtown this morning and see the cherry blossoms. Despite the crowds and the time constraints (Dave had a high priest group meeting) - we had a wonderful time. There is something very special about being downtown with the beautiful monuments and the beautiful cherry blossom trees - we loved it.
It brings back fond memories of the 4 Shipp children and our annual visit to the Cherry blossoms followed by a pancake breakfast in Great Falls park. I do miss the beauty of D.C. in the sprng.
