Sitting in Washington Square listening to some British musicians.

I had a really nice and relaxing trip to New York City - we went to three shows - West Side Story, 9 to 5, and Phantom of The Opera - we went on a food tour of Greenwich Village (which we LOVED) , walked through Central Park and had several Obama encounters. All in all - it was a wonderful weekend.

Look at that hair!!!

We all got a kick out of the picture on Jake's pool pass from the last couple years. They finally made him take a new picture for this year's pass. But this picture will ever be a family favorite.

Primary Activity

We had our quarterly Activity on Friday. We had a missionary appreciation night. All of the kids got missionary badges, tried foods from all over the world, had a bike race (with tricycles and wiggle bikes), and wrote letters to our missionaries out in the field. Finally, the missionaries showed up for a "meeting" and were surprised with cake and a box full of food, supplies, and treats for them to take home. It was a fun evening.

Memorial Day

We broke tradition this year and did not go to Kings Dominion. The kids were a bit bummed - but we needed some time to rest and get things done around the house. We had a productive day. Matthew however continued to go from party to party all weekend. Here are a few shots from the picnic/party Amy planned. It turned out so fun and all the kids seemed to have fun. Way to go Amy.

Another Pops Song

I think this is the Show Choir - Nicest Kids in Town - please notice in every video that I have a shot of the cute balloon arch I did. VERY cute!

Jake's trip to the reston zoo

I went with jacob and his class to the Reston Zoo today for their final field trip. We had a really fun time. Jake was so excited to go - since his brothers had all gone on fun trips (Va Beach, Busch Gardens and Williamsburg). Here are a few shots.

I have a few more to download - but this should give you a little taste of the Pops concert. I tried to get Matthew and Sarah in - as well as the whole choir. We'll see how good I did :)

Famous Virginian!!

Carter did such a great job tonight. He was Harry F. Byrd - danced the Virginia Reel and sang several songs as they told the story of the history of Virginia. We were so proud of him. Here he is dancing the Virginia Reel.

Bus Bonding!

Busch Gardens (and the adjudication)

It was a brutal 3:45 wake up call - but despite the early hour - we had a very fun and successful day at Michael and Amy's choir trip to Williamsburg. First they went to a weird little church outside of williamsburg for their adjudication - (they did FABULOUS) and then we went to Busch Gardens for several hours of park time and then to the awards ceremony. The girls got an excellent (very close to a superior) and the mens choir got a superior. They were so excited. We are all exhausted - but it was a fun day.
