Practically Summer!!!

You know it is almost summer when soccer starts, I start planting flowers, and the kids play on the slippy slide and with the hose under the trampoline! It was a HOT one today with temps in the 90's. It is supposed to be the same tomorrow. More fun to come!

Matthew's Choir Trip to Virginia Beach

Matthew had such a fun time on his choir trip to Virginia Beach. They went on a dinner cruise, hung out on the beach and boardwalk and went to Busch Gardens. He said it was the best weekend ever!

Easter Egg Hunt

We were not stopped by the rain or the cold and we had our annual Frederickson/Shipp/Freeman egg hunt and egg coloring this afternoon at mom and dad's house. It was a bit later than we had planned - but it worked out fine and the kids had a fun time.

Happy Birthday Jacob!!!

We had a very fun celebration for Jacob's 6th birthday. We invited Becky, the Freemans, and several families from the ward over to celebrate with us. We had a moon bounce, easter egg hunt, lunch and several fun games. Jake was thrilled and I think everyone had a fun time. WE LOVE YOU JAKE!!!

Red Robin and Great Falls Park

We had a fun morning this morning. First we ran to Sam's to get some stuff for Jake's party - then we had lunch at Red Robin. Everyone loved it. Then we drove out to Great Falls Park and took a walk around. It was such a beautiful day today! Let's hope the weather holds out for Jake's party tomorrow. :)

Fun at the Park

We had a fun time with the Freemans and the Taylors (a new family in the ward)! It was a cold day - but it did not stop the kids. They ran, rode scooters, played four square, tennis, tag and several other games - the moms sat and chatted. We all had fun!

Cherry Blossoms!

We braved the traffic, a grumpy Michael, and the Cherry Blossom 10K to go downtown this morning and see the cherry blossoms. Despite the crowds and the time constraints (Dave had a high priest group meeting) - we had a wonderful time. There is something very special about being downtown with the beautiful monuments and the beautiful cherry blossom trees - we loved it.
